This is the map you can find on the Torch Relay page of the 2012 London Olympics website. Today the torch is being run through Peterborough. It’s day 46 of the torch’s exciting path to its final destination in London, home of the 2012 Summer Games.
We are a little more than three weeks away from the opening ceremonies and while we sit here in NW Arkansas sweltering in the typical triple digit summer heat, I thought you might like to know what the weather is like in jolly ole England. This week the Brits are looking for occasional showers with highs near 70 degrees. (I think some of us here might trade forecasts with them for a while, huh?)
And although it’s a bit early, the forecast projections for opening ceremonies are calling for cloudy skies (imagine that) with highs in the mid 60s. Clearly many of the sporting events will be held indoors in a controlled climate – I just thought you might be interesting is seeing what the weather is like across the pond. Maybe they could send a few of those showers (or cooler temperatures) our way.
Have a great day.
