We are just a few days away from the 4th of July. Many like to celebrate our nation’s independance with fireworks and good food. But before you pick up the fork, maybe you can lace up your shoes and be a part of the annual FIRECRACKER 5K that will be going on at Lake Atalanta.
The race starts at 8 in the morning and volunteers will be there early for packet pickup or late registration. If you register early it’s just $20. Registering at the race is $30. The race is sponsored by the youth program of the First Christian Church of Rogers. All the money raised will benefit the scholarship fund for the First Christian Church Rogers Youth Outreach ministries (First Friends, Character Care and SummerShine).
The race time temperature will be about 70 degrees and there’ll be lots of sunshine — Plus it’s a great way to get in a little exercise!
